after careful consideration, i ended up returning the bag. which gave me the opportunity to get something i have been wanting for a long time, and old school rucksack. i found one at ll bean for only a hundred dollars, and its perfect. it is made of worn out, waxed canvas and leather, and it makes me look like i have used it hiking in the alps for years. im pretty excited about it.

what do you guys think?

i am flying to arizona for memorial day weekend, and i decided not to check any bags, so it will be the perfect chance to test out my new purchase. ill see how it goes.

i saw this bag at target and fell in love with its chic look, it is called a 'weekender' and is about 2ft wide and 1ft tall. i think it will perfect to use as luggage, a carry on or anything i need a large bag for. it was forty dollars (when i first saw the bag i expected it to be much more, so forty was a pleasant surprise), and at that price i wont feel bad about it getting beat up. as i said before, it looks chic to me, im just trying to get some other opinions on it, i dont want to waste forty dollars on something that is actually tacky (my 'chic' vision is cloudy sometimes). so, im trying decide if i should keep it or return it.

ashley olsen always looks cool, put together and chic. i adore everything she wears, and it seems like she could get away with wearing anything. im not sure if i like her or her sister better though, it depends on the day, but i have loved both them since i was little. it seems that when everyone was young they pretended to be one of the olsens, i was always ashley and my twin sister was always mary kate, so me choosing ashley over mary kate back then must mean something. i think i compare to ashley more with what i wear, and i feel like she is also very organized like me, but im more like mk in the other aspects of my life (expect a mary kate greatest hits post within the next week).

it is amazing how some people can be in the most risque position, but still not look slutty. daria, erin and kate definitely personify this. for that reason i find these covers not trashy at all, but lovely with a hint of spice. i adore them.

one of my favorite models has to be daria werbowy. she is extremely gorgeous and seems to never takes a bad photo (which just goes with being a model i guess ). like most models, she has incredible street style, she mixes tomboy and chic pieces with ease. i cant think of anyone else who could pull it off, well except for maybe her friend erin wasson. and like erin, she really knows how to work basic tees, leather and fur, my three favorites.

i adore mia farrows style in this movie. she wears incredible ensembles and really captures the whole effortless sixties vibe. the amazing short trapeze dresses and coats, and the natural makeup with a touch black eyeliner on the top lid really suit her and fits the era. i also love her haircut, it is hard to pull of such a drastic style, but she dons it with ease.

you can definatly see the influence this movie has had on fashion, some of chloes recent collections were remenisant of this film.

i adore vintage playboys covers, it is amazing to see that playboy was once a very classy magazine. nowadays playboy is more of a trash magazine, filled with blonde bimbos with fake breasts. but i love seeing the covers from the sixties, because they are classy, demure, and some quite fashionable. they used naturally beautiful girls, with natural bodies.

i wish playboy could go back to the classy magazine it used to be.

well, my name is hannah...and im a fan of couture...so there you go. i sound like the dad from my big fat greek wedding.

2. why did you start blogging in the first place?
i started because i took a lot of photos of my friends, and they wanted to view all of them, and posting them on a livejournal blog seemed convenient and fun. then it evolved into more of a blog about fashion and i decided to start 'hannah couture'.

3. What has been your best blogging experience? What about the worst?
i cant come up with anything off the top of my head...

4. What do you think/ want to happen to your blog in 2008?
more of the same. i love knowing that people actually read, and are interested in what i post. i think i get far too excited when i see i got a new comment. i hope to get more and more readers this year and discover new blogs i can read.

i have developed quite the obsession with the lovely erin wasson lately, so here is my favorite editorial of her. this beautiful set of photos is from vogue australia december 2007 and entitled 'from bondi to byron'. i just adore the whole laid back feel of the shoot, and the styling is just divine.

i have been meaning to post these photos for months now, and the unfortunate death of heath ledger reminded me of it. these are my favorite photos of heath and michelle, i am always drawn to the old school polaroid type photos. these are from the 2007 independent spirit awards. they both look absolutley amazing. heath can rock ray bans like no other, they seem to always be his sunglasses of choice. and i adore the whole mia farrow look on michelle.

i dont think anyone else could make the chloe dress look so great.

the makeup makes her look a little scary in some photos, but other than that, i love it.

i just recently found this amazing french magazine called jalouse, i bet some of you read it as well. actually, i dont read it, because i dont speak french. i merely flip through the pages and look at the lovely photos. and while flipping, i came across an incredible editorial in the december issue entitled material girl. it is all about how to wear vintage rock tees, and i love how they styled it. so wonderfully chic with a twist.

i just found these amazing photos from diane krugers new years eve party, and i decided to post them. it was at the soho house in nyc and, as you can probably tell, was great gatsby themed. i adore the roaring 20's, so glamorous, and the great gastby is one of my favorite books. marvelous idea for a party, dont you think?

one of my favorite collections of all time, and probably some of yours as well, has to be balenciaga fall 2007. i adore the blazers and the scarfs are incredible. it really seems to be influencing this season's clothing as well, everyone and their brother is copying the pieces, and i can definatly see why.
